Tapestry at Arbutus Walk is an active, aging community located in Vancouver’s Kitsilano neighbourhood. On Tuesday afternoons, throughout the year, a lively group of knitters, meets to knit and enjoy each other’s company. Recently they decided to support the Toques For Kids Project and wow, did they support it! They knit 161 wonderfully colourful toques for children aged 5 – 13 and they raised over $800. This will be enough to send 23 shipments of 25 toques each to northern BC for a total of 545 hats. This winter, the generosity of these amazing ladies will warm the heads and hearts of so many needy children in northern BC.
